Teams

We would like every parishioner to connect with others. One of the best ways to connect is by helping out in the life of our parish so why not join a team. There are a lot of different teams you can join, depending on your interests and availability.

Welcome Team: The team meets before Mass to get ready and prepare a big welcome to all who arrive through the door of the Church.

Music: Do you sing or play an instrument? Would you like to help us develop our music at St Hugh’s?

Hospitality: Could you help at social events? Contact Anne Rushton

Readers: Are you a clear, confident reader who would be willing to receive some training and join a rota to read at Mass? Contact Fr Gerard

Flowers: Do you have a creative side and would enjoy making our church beautiful?

Children’s Adoration group: We hope to start a group for children from the ages of 2 – 7 to pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament. If you can help please contact us.

Sacristy Team: We have a wonderful parish sacristan but there are always other jobs to be done: sewing and repairs, washing and ironing of altar linens, brass cleaning snd setting up for Mass. Let us know if you would like to be involved.

Garden Maintenance: The green spaces around the church are lovely but need a lot of work to keep them looking good – so why not join our Garden Maintenance Team?
